Engineering, design and commercial thinking, all happening in the same head at the same time.
I started as a mechanical engineer, then trained in industrial design at the Royal College of Art.
Those two disciplines come with different rules, and having both sets in one head means I can process function, usability, manufacture and design at the same time rather than passing the problem between specialists.
Since then I’ve added decades of experience in patents, manufacturing, innovation leadership and getting products into production. That combination is what gives me the bandwidth to see connections and solutions.
